Urquhart Castle

Urquhart Castle is a prime feature of travel, tourism Scotland is an ideal site for 'monster spotting', occupying a rocky outcrop on the north bank of Loch Ness. The castle was built mainly as an observation post and and many people travel here as it is now a favourite place for watching out for that famous monster.

Millwood House is just 16 miles (27 Km) away from Urquhart castle and is conveniently situated for day trips here and the surrounding area. Scotland is a great place to travel in and the Scottish Highlands particularly so. There are small single track roads off the main roads along Loch Ness and they are noted for their scarcity of other traffic.
